Raw Fuel is a premium carbohydrate & electrolyte formula designed to maximize endurance, stamina and performance.

We created Raw Fuel to address the unique nutritional needs of ultra-endurance athletes, offering a scientifically optimized blend of carbohydrates and sodium that maximizes energy absorption and maintains hydration without causing stomach upset.

Fuel is designed to:

  • Maximize endurance and stamina

  • Provide the body with the optimal ratio of sugar and electrolytes for peak performance

  • Balance hydration and electrolyte levels during training or endurance events

  • Prevent muscle cramps and fatigue by using sodium chloride and sodium citrate alongside carbohydrate

WE’VE OPTIMIZED THE SCIENCE OF SUGAR

Each serving includes 24g of carbohydrates in a precise ratio of 1 to 0.8 Glucose to Fructose, efficiently fueling the ultra-endurance athlete.

GLUCOSE + FRUCTOSE

A common issue for endurance athletes is gastrointestinal (GI) distress, particularly when consuming high amounts of glucose alone. This can lead to cramping, bloating, or discomfort. Raw Fuel tackles this problem by combining glucose and fructose. These two carbohydrates are absorbed through different pathways: glucose through SGLT1 transporters and fructose through GLUT5 transporters. Since they don’t compete for the same absorption route, the risk of overwhelming your digestive system is reduced. This dual-carb approach helps minimize GI distress, allowing you to stay fueled without discomfort during long endurance events.

Mixing Glucose and Fructose offers three key benefits for endurance training:

1) The combined absorption of glucose and fructose ensures a steady energy supply.

2) Avoids possible GI distress: Consuming high amounts of glucose can lead to gastrointestinal issues. Fructose absorption doesn’t compete with glucose, thereby reducing gastrointestinal stress.

3) Allows the body to maintain energy levels over longer periods, which is essential in endurance sports.

A SPECIFIC RATIO

The 1:0.8 ratio of glucose to fructose is a key part of what makes Raw Fuel so effective. Studies show that this ratio helps the body absorb up to 90g of carbs per hour—about 50% more than using glucose alone. This is because glucose and fructose are absorbed through different pathways, which prevents overloading one pathway.By mixing maltodextrin, cane sugar, and fructose, Raw Fuel provides a balanced energy source that helps you avoid crashes during long, intense workouts.

PRECISE AMOUNTS OF SODIUM

Sodium is the main electrolyte responsible for fluid balance, muscle contraction, and cellular communication and is the electrolyte that’s lost in the largest and most variable amounts during excessive endurance exercise and sports.

  • Each serving includes 300mg sodium in a 1:1 ratio of sea salt to sodium citrate.
  • Using sodium citrate in conjunction with sea salt allows your gut to tolerate more sodium consumption during training, delivering optimal hydration and electrolyte balance without digestive upset—making Raw Fuel an ideal endurance formula.

PROPER CARB TO SODIUM RATIO

Raw Fuel’s formula is built around an optimal carb-to-sodium ratio designed specifically for endurance athletes. With 100-120g of carbohydrates and 1250-1500mg of sodium per hour, Raw Fuel provides the necessary balance of energy and hydration to support peak performance during long training sessions or endurance events. This ratio is critical because an imbalance can lead to dehydration or a lack of energy, negatively impacting your performance. By ensuring the right balance of carbs and sodium, Raw Fuel allows for efficient absorption, helping you stay hydrated and energized without causing gastrointestinal distress.
